Step-by-Step Guide to Installing Plasterboard (Placo):

3. Fixing Plasterboard:

Positioning: Start fixing the plasterboards by positioning them against the wall or ceiling, ensuring they fit snugly without gaps.

Taping Seams: Apply joint tape over the joints between plasterboard sheets. Embed the tape using jointing compound or mud using a trowel, ensuring a smooth finish.

Jointing Compounds: Apply jointing compound over the tape and feather it out along the edges to create a seamless surface.

Allow Drying: Let the jointing compound dry completely as per the manufacturer's instructions. Sand the dried compound lightly for a smooth finish.

5. Finishing:

Apply Additional Coats: Apply additional coats of jointing compound if needed, allowing each layer to dry before sanding.

Sanding: Sand the joints and any rough areas until the surface is smooth and even.

Priming: Prime the plasterboard surface before painting or applying wallpaper for better adhesion and a professional finish.
